When planning a celebration we don’t always want to throw a huge party. Sometimes, quality time spent with family and close friends is all we require to mark those special moments and occasions.
If you have a big Birthday coming up or you’re looking for a way to celebrate with those closest to you, then a break in our Ilkley holiday cottage may be just what you’re looking for.
Here, are just a few reasons why we think you should book The Barn for your next celebration:
1. A Treat for Ten
Our large holiday cottage near ilkley has five bedrooms (4 double, 1 twin) so it can easily accommodate 10 people. There is also plenty of space for cots so you are welcome to bring the little ones! There’s no need to worry about getting in each other’s way during the daytime either. We have large living areas on both floors with Sky Q television, allowing guests to congregate in separate rooms and avoid arguing over the remote!
2. It’s Dinner Party Ready
Our open plan kitchen contains everything you need to show off your culinary skills and impress your fellow guests with a celebratory dinner. We also have a dining area that seats ten people. If you prefer to dine al fresco and the weather allows it, our property boasts some fantastic outdoor space with furniture and a BBQ. There is no shortage of room indoors or out so nobody will be bumping elbows.
3. We Have Some Great Restaurants Nearby
We’re lucky enough to have some excellent restaurants in Ilkley so if you choose to dine out, there are plenty of places to choose from that won’t disappoint. If you’re looking for something extra special, however, we recommend booking a table at The Box Tree. With two Michelin stars to its name and an exquisite menu of modern French cuisine, it is certainly the place to go when you have something worth celebrating.
4. We’re Just A Short Train Journey From Leeds
We know that a subdued dinner party isn’t for everyone and we don’t all have the budget for fine dining. Sometimes, you just need to let your hair down and dance the night away after one too many cocktails. Luckily, we are just a 30-minute train journey away from Leeds and this city offers an excellent night out for all ages. Traditional pubs, sophisticated cocktail bars, funky night clubs and a huge array of eateries can all be found in the city centre.
5. You Can Walk Off That Hangover
One of the best cures for a hangover is a leisurely walk through the countryside. Fill up on a traditional home cooked breakfast at one of Ilkley’s cafes and then head off for a stroll across Ilkley Moor. You’ll soon forget about that thumping head once you’ve filled your lungs with the clean Yorkshire air and discovered the amazing views from the Cow and Calf rocks.
